We support local churches to provide quality Christian RI programs by networking, training, equipping and supporting Christian RI Assistants, Instructors and Coordinators.
Great question!
CRI stands for Christian Religious Instruction.
The teaching of RI in QLD state schools is supported by the Queensland Education Act which permits up to hour of religious instruction each week. In reality students usually attend for half an hour most weeks. And they love it!
Many parents choose to say YES to their children participating in Christian RI to give them the opportunity to question, explore and discover faith and Christian values for themselves as part of a holistic education. Australian parents believe that Australia’s Christian heritage has been influential in shaping faith and positive community values.
Christian RI in Queensland is supported by the Christian Religious Instruction Network (QCRIN).
Suzie is one of the founding members. Information regarding QCRIN can be found at www.qcrin.org.au
RI is also supported by the Christian RI Alliance which was formed by the Heads of Churches to support Christian RI. For more information about Christian RI visit https://christianri.org.au/
Together we are all part of Christian RI and working toward growing best practice relevant and engaging lessons where students learn about the Bible, Jesus and his teachings.
The CRI Network is a not-for-profit organisation that is well appreciated by local state schools, principals, business, churches, and the community. We are working toward providing a Christian RI program in every state school in the greater Ipswich area.
The Network was established in the Ipswich region to support Christian RI Programs in schools across the Greater Ipswich and Southern Somerset regions and beyond as needed.
We aim to resource, train, equip and continue professional development with all Christian RI Instructors, Assistants and Coordinators, helping them to deliver high quality religious instruction classes that are both relevant and valued by students and families alike.
